Esta es la historia de una niña que aprendió a vivir con el equipo de su tierra y un padre que la enseñó a quererlo.
Corrían los 90 y ya yo andaba jugueteando por la que hoy considero mi casa: el Heliodoro. Con tan solo siete años yo ya tenía un pase de esos que decían “hijo de abonado”, y cada quince días, la trasera de los banquillos era mi jardín de infancia.
El culpable de eso, con un ojo en mí y el otro en el partido, se sentaba tan sólo unas filas más arriba. Era, y es, mi padre, el culpable de mi corazón blanquiazul.
Nunca simpatizante de los equipos grandes, hizo que en casa sintiéramos los colores chicharreros como parte de nuestra vida. Domingos de comida en el Tema, aparcando luego por la piscina de Santa Cruz y dando un paseo al estadio parando en cualquier entretenimiento que la Rambla ofreciese. Visitas esporádicas a los entrenamientos de las que ahora nos reímos al ver las fotos con Alexis, Juanele o César Gómez. ¿Y cómo olvidarme de esa participación europea? No sabía casi ni caminar y tenía claro que mi apoyo tenía que ser para los que jugaban con Felipe Miñambres. De los derbis con los canariones ni hablamos. Mami madre decía que si metía la foto de los de enfrente en el congelador les saldría un mal partido. Y, lo que decía ella, iba a misa.
Ahora, unos pocos años después, la visita al templo blanquiazul sigue siendo asignatura obligatoria. Otra grada, otra manera de ver las cosas y, sobre todo, otros tiempos no tan buenos. El sentimiento, el mismo. El que lo creó, dejó de ir al Estadio porque sus nervios lo superaban (y lo siguen haciendo, pegado a la tele o radio). Eso sí, su legado lo dejó bien amarrado.
