Minuto 89 de un partido fuera de casa; marcas y consigues el empate: ¡Qué fiestón!. Lo merecías, habías luchado, ¡estábamos fuertes!. ¡De este equipo se podía sacar algo!. Una semana después, ese mismo Tenerife, aburría hasta a los santos en un Rodríguez López que, con toda la razón del mundo, pitaba antes del descanso. Y es que, en esta casa, de la fiesta a la siesta, hay un paso.

Sobra decir, con esta introducción, que la primera parte del partido del Tenerife ante el Leganés fue, cuanto menos, soporífera. Los bostezos retumbaban y, si la gente seguía despierta, era porque tenía que darle al abanico para sobrevivir al calor santacrucero de las cinco de la tarde. Un desastre.
Más allá de esta simpleza verbal, este escueto resumen, hay una noria en la que, permítanme, yo no me quiero subir. Aunque no seamos aquellos que jugaban UEFA, aunque en la presidencia no tengamos a un eterno luchador, me niego a un Tenerife que celebra empates en casa y se instala en un absoluto conformismo, para después volver a ganar  y escuchar vítores de ascenso entre el público más alocado.
Me niego asimismo a un entrenador que permite que te bailen, en tu estadio, 45 minutos enteros, que celebra con unos cambios inexplicables que toda tu primera parte la hayas pasado corriendo detrás de los visitantes, que hacían y deshacían a su antojo.
Tengo que negarme, aunque de nada sirva, a una directiva que acepta tal mediocridad, que aplaude que, en este club,  tengamos que sonreír al ir puntito a puntito, el cortarnos las alas cada vez que queramos soñar. Y es que, dejando lo deportivo a un lado, me niego a aceptar que mi Tenerife no es más que un equipito sin aspiraciones que, de vez en cuando, te da una alegría.
Porque no somos la sombra de lo que fuimos, no tenemos grandes jugadores y nuestro presupuesto no nos permite prácticamente nada, pero el orgullo, ese de permanencia del que tanta gala hacen, hay que sacarlo de vez en cuando y sumarlo a una garra que nos permita, al menos, decir ¡ESTAMOS AQUÍ!.
Denme la licencia, por último, para exigirle a mi equipo, a ese al que le pago el abono año tras año, que no me deje salir del estadio con cara de tonta, con esa sensación de que si la suerte no está de nuestro lado, la temporada será larga, dolorosa y aburrida.
Me niego a la indecisión, a las cosas absurdas y a las rencillas personales que hacen que unos jueguen más y otros menos. Me niego, en definitiva, a dejar caer al equipo de mis amores.
